We are the new weekly print communications medium for Houston’s Black, Anglo and Hispanic elite.

OUR MISSION:

To provide an effective communications medium to reach an underserved specific target market. The Houston Insider provides timely, topical and informative content; whether it pertains to theater, visual arts, entertainment, business, civic interests or sports, more of it is found here than in any other ethnic weekly publication.

Our Target Demographic:
Houston’s Adult Black, Hispanic and Anglo populations between the ages of 35 – 64.

Our Primary Target Psychographic:
Moderate to Upscale Income African – Americans.

We Are Different!
Currently there are at least five print publications in Houston that claim to reach the African American market. However, not until the arrival of The Houston Insider was there a medium to effectively target and reach Houston’s Black, Anglo and Hispanic communities.

We Look Different!
Each cover of The Houston Insider focuses on a particular person, theme, place or event that impacts Houston’s elite community. We are a full publication - minimum 24 pages.

The Houston Insider can be found at over 325 public locations throughout Houston to include Downtown Houston, The Galleria, Uptown, Memorial, West University, Rice Village, Midtown, Pearland, Sugarland, Missouri City, and Katy.

AD SPECIFICATIONS :

The Houston Insider is produced using the Adobe® InDesign CS layout program. As such, the following file formats can be accepted for completed ad submissions:

	Ad layouts created in Quark XPress version 4.0 and lower; Adobe InDesign version CS1 or lower. Please note that all Quark and InDesign layouts must be submitted as packaged files with all associated linked files and fonts used. Mac platform files are preferred, but IBM platform files can be submitted if associated files use included Open Type Fonts.
	Adobe Photoshop files (CMYK color profile; resolution of 200 pixels/inch at full ad size).
	Adobe PDF files (CMYK color profile, resolution of 200 DPI, cropped to exact ad size).
	Adobe Illustrator Files (CMYK color profile). Ad layout must be full ad size.
	Macromedia Freehand (CMYK color profile). Single-page ad layout saved as an EPS file. Full ad size.

All other file formats are unacceptable for submission as completed ads. If there are any problems supplying the proper file format, please contact the production department and arrangements will be made to prepare the ad properly for publishing.

Submitting Components for Ad Production:

The Houston Insider Production Department can compose ads for our clients on request. All ads will be created per client direction and approval. The following components must be supplied to the Production Department to create your ad:

	All photographic images must be supplied, either as glossy photos or high resolution digital images.
	All text for ad can be submitted as a Microsoft Word document.
	All company logos to be used in an ad must be submitted, either as high resolution Photoshop files or vector EPS files. Logo files and images designed for internet use and images from business cards are not acceptable for ad composition.
